Welt: Six Greek Islands to Fall in Love With

More German press highlights Greek destinations ahead of the tourism season.

”Six islands to fall in love with,” is the title of a lengthy article on the digital page of German daily Die Welt.

The article states: “Fantastic beaches, heavenly nature and romantic villages. The Greek islands are ideal for a short escape from everyday life. Hospitable bays, romantic seafront walkways in the ports and ancient temples. That’s the Greek islands, whether in white and blue like in the Cyclades or with a lot of green like in the Ionian. From small guesthouses to suites at all-inclusive hotels, Greece has it all.”

The newspaper lists Corfu, with its clear blue waters and thousands of olive trees, Palaiokastritsa and the Bella Vista monastery; Mykonos, as a meeting place of the international jet set; Santorini, for the romantic atmosphere in Oia; Kos, the island “that all doctors in the world know,” since it is the island of Hippocrates; Rhodes, which may have some of the most beautiful beaches in Greece; and finally, of course, the unforgettable Crete.
