One of the world’s techno DJ greats, Jeff Mills, has recorded a performance together with his ensemble “Tomorrow Comes the Harvest,” at the archeological park on the island of Delos, to be streamed on the YouTube channel of the Onassis Foundation on Thursday, January 20.
Having previously performed at other inspired venues such as the Louvre, cinemas and galleries, the Temple of Isis at the UNESCO World Heritage Site at Delos, one of the most important archeological sites in Greece, might still be Mills’ most impressive setting yet. Known to cast a spell on its visitors thanks to its spectacular light and energy, he was taken aback by the island. “After this experience, it is hard to imagine that each of us are the same people (mentally) we were before we traveled to Delos. I’m not sure exactly what, but I have the sense that something was advanced and elevated,” he was quoted on the Onassis website.

“Tomorrow Comes the Harvest” consists of Mills, keyboardist Jean-Phi Dary, and tabla player Prabhu Edouard. Together they improvise sets which change and evolve in unexpected directions – musical experiences beyond the art of DJing and dance culture, where Mills has had a following for almost forty years.
The performance was filmed by the director Christos Sarris, and will be streamed here, at 21:00 (Greek time), on Thursday.
