The Zythognosia (meaning “beer tasting”) Athens Craft Beer Expo is taking place for the fourth consecutive year this weekend (14/10-15/10) at the Zappeion Megaron in downtown Athens.
During the event (link in Greek) you will be able to taste beers from 38 top breweries and microbreweries from Greece and abroad. Seminars and food and beer pairing events will also be held.

The exhibition marks the ende of Athens Beer Week, which will see special beer-related events hosted by various restaurants around the city.
Until the end of the weekend, you will find specially designed menus at some of the top restaurants in Athens, including Nolita, Hytra, Psarades, and Steak Bar by Kiku at Yolenis. The menus will focus on pairing dishes with craft beers, as well as beer cocktails, with prices for the entire menus starting at 30 euros per person.
Odori Vermuteria di Atene will mix cocktails using different types of beer, while CV Distiller will present beer and whiskey pairings from Wednesday until Sunday.

On Saturday evening, starting at 21.00, Mama Roux will throw a big party with live jazz music by the Dimitris Papadopoulos Quartet with (of course) plenty of beer and food from their famous barbecue food truck Po’ Boys (which will also be present throughout the exhibition).
