He explains, “In recent years, our call has had a great response from markets in Europe and even further afield such as America and Australia, which seek quality in the Cyclades. Austria, Switzerland, and Germany are markets where special promotion has been made of the wide range of options that Naxos offers to families, couples, and activity enthusiasts. The season has started dynamically and a flow is expected both from Greece and abroad.”

Similarly, Antonis Mettos, President of the Committee of the Municipality of Ios, emphasizes the diverse attractions of his island: “Ios is a destination with different faces that escapes the spectrum of over-tourism. The entertainment and endless beaches are an experience for many Greeks and international travelers. At the same time, we have enriched our ‘product’ with new options such as trails, diving, cycling, gastronomy, culture, festivals, and sporting events. In Ios, the visitor flow expands before and after the summer months.”
