Everyone seems excited about Valentine’s Day this year, just like many are thrilled about traveling again. While it might be late to book a trip across the world and a table at one of the world’s finest restaurants on Monday, Lifestyle Asia published an article on Thursday naming the restaurants they believe to be the most romantic in the world. At the top of the list is a Greek restaurant, Ambrosia, in Santorini’s Oia.
“If Santorini is not on your dream holiday list, then one look at pictures of Ambrosia Restaurant will change your mind,” the article reads, and continues: “The stunning view that overlooks the Caldera cliff and the romantic candlelight setting on the terrace will instantly take you to a completely new world.”

It goes on to describe the food at Ambrosia, which serves Greek cuisine with international twists, and recommend the salmon tartare, sea scallops, and lobster cream soup, among other dishes.
Ambrosia tops a list of ten restaurants around the world, from Paris to Hong Kong, India and Costa Rica, most of which boast incredible views as well as good food. Five out of the ten feature sea views.
Oia was crowned the most beautiful village in the world earlier this week by Uswitch, while another one of their lists named Athens as the world’s sixth most romantic city, based on reviews of the city’s restaurants, and last month a small restaurant on Symi was dubbed the most beautiful in the world. It seems if you’re looking for atmospheric dining, Greece has it in bounds.
