Qatar Airways has announced that it will be offering direct flights to Mykonos from its base in Doha, with the first flight on the new route scheduled to take place on May 30th, 2018. The popular Aegean island will be the third Greek destination added to the airline’s growing worldwide network.
The company is expected to operate four flights a week between Mykonos and Doha, using Airbus A320 aircraft which have 132 economy class seats and 12 seats in business class.

Qatar Airways also recently announced the commencement of direct flights to Thessaloniki, the second destination to be directly serviced by the airline in Greece. Again, four flights a week will be carried out using Airbus 320 aircraft between Doha and Thessaloniki. The flights will begin on March 27, 2018.
The airline already operates 3 flights per day to Athens.
“Mykonos has long been one of our most sought-after European destinations, and we are very proud to be the first Gulf carrier to serve Mykonos directly,” Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Akbar Al Baker was quoted as saying.
Mykonos and Thessaloniki are just some of many new routes planned by Qatar Airways for 2018, including Canberra, Australia and Cardiff, U.K., among others. The airline recently launched flights to Kyiv, Prague, and Dublin.
