The latest print issue of Greece Is magazine – Greece Is Athens Summer 2019, will be available this weekend (27-28/07) together with The New York Times International Edition – Kathimerini English Edition everywhere international press is sold throughout Greece.
Last year, Athens was named Europe’s Leading City Break Destination, and welcomed a record 5.8 million international visitors. For Greece Is Athens Summer 2019, the ninth issue of our magazine dedicated to the capital, we once again devoted ourselves to finding and guiding you to the best things Athens has to offer during the summer, to make your stay as great as possible.
Over the 160 pages, you can discover all of the diverse elements that make up the increasingly rich and varied tapestry of modern Athens: essential stops; exciting new openings; major concerts and exhibitions; the city’s diverse and fun-filled thematic tours; the most interesting new hotels; the street art; the most happening neighborhoods; and our favorite nearby escapes.
Finally, our summer guide, titled Beat the Heat, contains all of our top choices for making the most out of the soaring temperatures – from beautiful places to cool down, to refreshing treats and meals on-the-go, to beaches that make you feel like you’ve traveled to an island.
So don’t miss your chance to pick up a copy of the magazine at the newsstand together with The New York Times International Edition this weekend. Alternatively, Greece Is Athens will also be available for free in the coming days (and for as long as supplies last) at a number of locations around the capital, including the Acropolis Museum, Benaki Museum (Pireos Annexe), Museum of Cycladic Art, Zappeion, National History Museum, Jewish Museum, Athens Concert Hall and Herkaleidon Museum, among others.
It will also soon be available online on our website (on the homepage scroll down to where it says “Read Our Magazines”), and you will be able to order a hard copy from our e-shop.
