The Athens Traders Association and Trade Association of Thessaloniki in Greece announced the times and days for trade which are to be adhered to during the upcoming Greek Orthodox Easter holiday season.
Greek Orthodox Easter tends to fall on a different day to Catholic Easter because Orthodox churches often base their Easter date on the Julian calendar as opposed to the Gregorian calendar used by other branches of Christianity. This year, Greek Orthodox Easter falls on May 1, 2016.
