Greece’s First W Hotel to Open Next Week

The W Costa Navarino, in the Peloponnese, is a luxury resort designed with inclusivity in mind.

W Costa Navarino is set to open its doors to guests on August 11th. It will be the latest addition to the W Escapes chain of hotels in Europe, following Spain, Switzerland and Portugal.

Known for their forward-thinking strategies, the prime sustainable destination Costa Navarino is partnering with W Hotels Worldwide, thereby embracing the New York-based hotel group’s philosophy for diversity. According to announcements, the new resort will be a completely inclusive space. The facilities and services have been tailor-made to accommodate different religious, gender, mobility, and ethnic requirements – including everything from having staff trained in inclusive language to rooms built to accommodate guests with mobility impairments and to care products for all skin and hair types.

The luxurious resort is located in the Navarino Waterfront area, with direct access to the beach. It is designed as a Greek coastal village, meant to reflect Costa Navarino’s dedication to promoting local culture and heritage in a sustainable manner. Meanwhile, all the structures of the resort feature planted roofs, to minimize obstruction of the natural surroundings. It boasts 246 rooms, some of which have private pools, and even two-bedroom suites with their own rooftop pools. All spaces feature unique work of young artists, created especially for and curated by the resort.

In addition, the resort features a wellness area, a water sports center, three tennis courts, a range of additional leisure facilities, and five dining venues, including the vibrant beach club where special events will take place throughout the year.

W Hotels will be the third Marriott International brand at Costa Navarino, following the Westin Resort Costa Navarino and the Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort.
