Greece Named Best Luxury Destination & 3 More Distinctions at Travvy Awards

The four titles were awarded to Greece at the Travvy Awards ceremony in Miami last week.

Greece was announced one of the big winners to stand out at this year’s Travvy Awards, which were held in conjunction with the CruiseWorld Gala in Miami last week in front of an audience of industry executives and journalists.

Greece received the prestigious title “Best International Luxury Destination,” as well as “Best International Cruise Destination” – the latter a welcome verification of the fact that the status of cruise tourism in Greece is on the rise (Greek Tourism Minister Haris Theocharis has previously expressed hope that Greece may soon become a “home-port destination on the map of international cruises,” noting record-breaking numbers of scheduled cruises in 2021).

Greece also took home the title of “Best Destination in the Mediterranean” overall, as well as the second best “International Expedition/Adventure Destination.

There to receive the awards for Greece at the ceremony was the director of the Greek National Tourism Organization service in the US and Canada, Konstantinos Charokopos.

Organized by travAlliancemedia, the Travvys are awarded to destinations and travel companies worldwide, and over 90,000 travel agents, readers of the company’s Agent@Home magazine and TravelPulse website, took part in the voting process this year.
