More Electric Cars Delivered to Private Owners on Astypalea

The program “Astypalea: Smart, Sustainable Island” has entered its most anticipated phase, as more locals begin to drive their new electric vehicles.

The electrification of Astypalea is picking up speed: The Volkswagen Group continues to deliver electric cars to private customers on the Dodecanese island: an ID.3 Pure, an ID.4 have just been delivered, following an e-up!, and two Seat MO eScooter 125.

The e-fleet on Astypalea is thus continuing to grow. Local authorities started using electric vehicles last year.

The plan is for Astypalea to be converted into an island where mobility will be smart and sustainable, and the energy system will be completely renewed, through a project referred to as “Smart & Sustainable Island” – a joint initiative by Volkswagen and the Greek government.
