World-renowned Japanese pianist Mitsuko Uchida is coming to the Athens Concert Hall to perform for one night only on May 24th, presenting a program which organizers say expresses her interests and aspirations as an artist: clarity in classical form, expressiveness and experimentation. To this end, the award-winning and critically acclaimed musician will perform selected pieces by György Kurtág, Mozart and Schumann.
“Her playing stands out for its sensitivity, its unadulterated spirituality and its focus on giving a clear, unadorned meaning to every musical gesture,” the announcement for the concert reads.
