Athens Photo Festival, to Take Place in July-August, Calls for Entries

The annual Athens Photo Festival, comprising a rich program of exhibitions, learning programs, screening nights, open talks and more, is now accepting submissions from artists and photographers for its 2020 installation.

The Festival will feature the work of emerging and established artists from all over the world, with the aim of reflecting the diversity of photography and visual culture today, and to explore diverse cultural, artistic, social and political perspectives.

 

Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the deadline for submissions has been extended to Thursday, May 14, and the festival, which usually takes place in June, has been pushed up to July-August.

The main exhibition, featuring works selected from the submissions, will be on display at the Benaki Museum Pireos Street Annexe (Pireos 138), and will feature a wide range of image-based genres, ranging from fine art and conceptual pieces to documentary and photojournalism, installations, and interactive and multimedia works.
