Antetokounmpo Celebrated – Invited to Presidential Palace


Greek basketball superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, who led the Milwaukee Bucks to their first NBA championship win in 50 years earlier this week, has been invited by Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou to attend an event at the Presidential Palace this Saturday, marking the anniversary of the restoration of Greece’s democracy on July 24, 1974, newspaper Kathimerini reports

Antetokounmpo, known worldwide as the “Greek Freak”, was being celebrated by thousands of fans, riding on the top of the team bus through the streets of Milwaukee on Wednesday, and will be returning to his hometown, Athens, on Saturday, to the thrill of his local supporters, however it has not been confirmed whether he will be attending the event at the presidential palace.
