LOCATION
In Kapsia village near the town of Mantineia, in mountainous Arcadia, overlooked by the fir-covered Mainalo mountains. A 90-minute drive from Athens on the national road towards Vytina, and 15k away from Mainalo ski resort.
BACKGROUND
Archontiko Kaltezioti (or Kalteziotis Mansion) is an atmospheric hotel complex situated in an idyllic countryside that provides high-end amenities and a hospitable environment. It consists of one boutique hotel, which has the air of a mountain resort; one renovated traditional inn dating back to 1860, which served as the Kalteziotis family home for more than a century; a boutique chalet, perched on the slopes and with a great view of Mainalo ski resort; and four self-contained villas in the heart of the mountain.

In the boutique hotel, you’ll find classic and comfortable standard rooms, studios (which are ideal for families) and a luxurious VIP suite. In the renovated traditional inn, there are four suites with stone walls, wooden ceilings, king-size beds and sculpted wooden furnishings that take you back in time. The chalet has 12 suburb, mountain-view rooms in classical decor with modern touches.
Finally, if you want privacy, you can opt for your very own villa, complete with fireplace, living room space and private veranda. For relaxation and rejuvenation, the hotel offers saunas, jacuzzis, a hammam and body massages. For keeping fit there is also a fully equipped gym and outside pool. FOOD & DRINK
You can start with a traditional buffet breakfast, prepared with local products like homemade jam, village cheese and fir honey. Move on to the reception lounge for coffee, tea or a glass of wine. For dinner, Greek delicacies, accompanied by local wine and the sounds of a piano, are served at the Petrino Kelari restaurant in the traditional inn, which used to house the stables and whose character has remained almost intact. Before turning in, a variety of special drinks and local wines are on offer at the lounge bar in the boutique hotel, or at the chalet bar, which is reserved for chalet guests.
