Boasting a new look, with colonial style touches and vertical flower gardens, the newly renovated Thea Terrace Bar, on the rooftop of Central Athens Hotel in Plaka, is once again open to the public.
As the locals know, the best way to spend a warm summer evening in Athens is on a terrace, dining or sipping a drink while taking in the view of the illuminated Acropolis Hill. At the Thea Terrace Bar, you can do both.
The dinner menu features a mix of traditional Greek dishes, such as fava (split pea dip) from Santorini with caramelized onion, and international cuisine cooked with local ingredients, such as lentil salad with olives served in a tortilla nest, and orzotto with shrimp and wine from the island of Samos.
The cocktail menu includes all the classics, as well as a number of signature drinks. Try the Greek Sour, made with tsipouro (a pomace brandy).
