We came to the rooftop Galaxy restaurant at the Hilton, and after taking in the incredible view, which you just can’t get enough of, we sat at a table. As we waited for the first dishes, we sipped a glass of Prosecco and one of Galaxy’s signature cocktails, the Neutron Star, a gin-based concoction infused with fresh kumquat, bergamot tea and orange marmalade. Simply divine!
We didn’t have to wait long for the appetizers: dragon roll sushi with shrimp, avocado, cream cheese, chives and sesame, as well as spicy crab sushi with surimi, avocado, cucumber and chives. Impeccable ingredients, balanced and delicate flavors. We continued with a hearty, yet refreshing rocket salad with Evrytania prosciutto, burrata, cherry tomatoes, balsamic caviar and traditional Greek oxymeli dressing, followed by a light, aromatic tuna tataki with king crab mousse, fresh herbs, steamed vegetables and lime vinaigrette.
Then it was time for the main dishes: black cod fillet with wild rice, chili peppers, coriander and teriyaki sauce. The delicious flavor of the black cod was in complete harmony with the “metallic” taste of the coriander, the not-too-hot chili and the teriyaki sauce. A wonderful dish. The fine quality Black Angus beef fillet, served with buttered vegetables, also proved to be an excellent choice.
We opted out of the desserts. In fact we felt quite proud for resisting the chocolate soufflé, despite its mouthwatering description. The view from the Galaxy, the excellent quality cuisine and the highly professional service make for an unbeatable combination. An inspired choice for that special occasion.
