On Friday, October 28, as Greece commemorates Ohi Day, all archaeological sites and museums that are managed by the Ministry of Culture and Sports will open their doors to the public, free of charge.
The Acropolis Museum in Athens will also offer free admission on October 28, from 8:00 to 22:00. As every Friday, the restaurant on the second floor of the museum will remain open until midnight.
 
Throughout the country, private museums and cultural sites will host special exhibitions and presentations in celebration of the public holiday.
Entry to state-run archaeological sites, monuments and museums is free on the following dates throughout the year:
March 6 (Day of Remembrance of Melina Merkouri)
April 18 (International Memorial Day)
May 18 (International Museum Day)
The last weekend of September (European Cultural Heritage Days)
October 28 (Ohi Day)
The first Sunday of each month from November 1st to March 31st
Entry to the Acropolis Museum is also free are March 25 (National Day).
