The Acropolis Museum are extending their opening hours as the tourism season nears. As of April 1st, the new hours are Monday 08:00-16:00, Friday 08:00-22:00, and the rest of the days of the week 08:00-20:00. In addition, the restaurant terrace, with its stunning view towards the Acropolis, will stay open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
To celebrate the arrival of the summer season, the museum has also announced a new cycle of presentations in the archaeological excavation which stretches underneath the Museum. Here, visitors, guided by the museum’s archaeologists, will be able to walk on the streets of the ancient neighborhood and take a close look at the houses with their courtyards and wells, enter the heart of the impressive mansions with the private baths, and examine the workshops with the water reservoirs.

The tours last 45 minutes, and will take place in English every Saturday and Monday, at 11:00, and in Greek every Saturday and Monday, at 13:00. For registration, refer to the information desk at the museum entrance on the same day. The tours are free (only the €10 general admission fee to the museum is required), but groups are limited to 20 visitors, and it’s first-come, first-served.
