Crete and Rhodes are among Germans’ top destination choices for next summer, according to the booking site HolidayCheck. In addition, one in three has already decided where and when to take a vacation and has made the relevant reservations.
According to an article in Focus magazine, “the Germans’ desire for travel is as high as ever, while the pandemic restrictions in place since the spring of 2020 has also increased their willingness to travel long distances.” A survey by PricewaterhouseCoopers confirms these statements; 34% of respondents have already booked or are planning a holiday trip within the first half of the year.

In terms of the destinations Germans are favoring this summer, the HolidayCheck website presented the seven most popular, which were as follows: Turkey, Hurghada and Safaga in Egypt, Mallorca, Crete, Fuerteventura, Canary Islands and Rhodes.
