The Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center (SNFCC)’s annual “Park Your Cinema” program is back for the sixth year in a row, showing crowd-pleasers on Fridays.
First out this Friday is the 2001 American comedy-drama “The Royal Tenenbaums,” directed by Wes Anderson and starring Gene Hackman, Anjelica Huston, Ben Stiller and Gwyneth Paltrow as the eccentric members of a dysfunctional family thrust into crisis.
Next up, on Friday 6/8, is Matthew Warchus’ 2014 film “Pride,” about LGBT activists standing up against the neo-liberal policies of Margaret Thatcher, starring Bill Nighy and Dominic West.
All screenings are free of charge and begin at 21:00 at the Panoramic Steps. Tickets must be pre-booked, and the audience is asked to arrive at least half an hour early. Viewers are also advised to bring mosquito repellent and something to sit on.
Additional screenings on Wednesdays and Saturdays will feature documentaries and kids films, respectively.
