Greek olive oil producer Sakellaropoulos has scooped an astonishing 14 Gold and Silver Awards at this year’s EVO International Olive Oil Competition (EVOIOOC), a record for Greece and Greek Single Estate olive producers.
The sixth edition of the international competition, held in the southern Italian town of Palmi, Calabria, is considered to be one of the world’s most prestigious olive oil competitions, applying strict evaluation standards set by the International Olive Council, and exclusively carried out by blind tasting by an international panel of experts.

This year’s competition was marked by a record number of entries, with over 700 olive oils representing 30 olive-producing countries, including Italy, Greece, Croatia, Spain, Brazil, Chile, Slovenia, Portugal, Tunisia, USA, Turkey and Israel.
Located at the foot of the Taygetos and Parnonas mountains, near Sparta, Sakellaropoulos Organic Farms have been cultivatng and producing organic olives since 1992. Their gourmet olive oils were honored with the following awards:
Overall competition winner 2021 and 1st place in the category of International Flavored Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) – The ENIGMA Gourmet EVOO, flavored with apple, cinnamon and honey
A further five Gold Awards were given to:
The MAJESTIC Blend, SYLLEKTIKON Gourmet, OLEOASTRON Gourmet, ENSTAGMA Saffron & Rosemary, and ENSTAGMA Saffron & Sage.
And seven Silver Awards:
MASTERPIECE Blend, GEMSTONE Blend, FYLLIKON Organic First Oil, AGOURELAIO Organic, ARMONIA Organic, ARMONIKON Organic, and ENSTAGMA Gourmet.
With 14 awards overall, Sakellaropoulos’ organic olive oils were classified among the best at this year’s EVOIOOC. This comes fast on the heels of an earlier competition in May this year in Japan, with the MASTERPIECE Blend winning a Silver Award at the prestigious Japan IOOC.
This recent haul adds to the current tally of 280 international awards for the organic olive groves of Sakellaropoulos.
