Astir Palace to Become Greece’s First Four Seasons Hotel

This winter, the legendary Astir Palace will undergo a major overhaul, to be reborn in the spring as the Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens.


Astir Palace has come to an agreement with Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, to transform the facilities on the Astir Palace peninsula into the first Four Seasons hotel in Greece. Following an extensive redevelopment which will take place this winter, come spring 2018, the hotel will go under the new name: Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens.

According to the company announcement, the hotel’s upcoming redevelopment and rebirth is anticipated to cost at least 100 million euros. The hotel will feature circa 300 rooms, luxury bungalows and suites. There will also be state-of-the-art conference and event spaces, and recreational facilities such as a spa, infinity pools, more than one beach, and a seaside promenade.

Meyer Davis Studio are to redesign the interiors of the hotel, drawing inspiration from Greek culture and from the surroundings on the peninsula.

Allen Smith, President and CEO of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. Stelios Koutsivitsis, CEO of Astir Palace, states that the company will stay dedicated to honoring the legacy of Astir Palace and the hotel will remain a landmark destination of international stature.
