With port calls to Rhodes this year starting as early as January (as opposed to a March kick-off recorded in 2019), by May 2022 the number of arrivals of cruise ships to the northern Aegean island’s port was at 88 against 43, or double of what was recorded three years ago.
In May, the South Aegean Tourism Initiative recorded a 51% increase in cruise ship arrivals and a 26% rise in cruise passenger numbers.

Meanwhile, 417 port calls have been scheduled for arrival at the port of Rhodes in the months leading up to December. The corresponding number for that same period in 2019 was at 258.
