Domaine Glinavos was established in 1978 by Lefteris Glinavos, one of the first oenologists in Greece, who studied this refined art at the famous university in Bordeaux. His skill in this field, his knowledge and experience have gained him international recognition and awards for his contribution to the wine industry.
Since 1990, the son of the founder, Thomas Glinavos, endowed with the intangible inheritance passed on by his father, continues the journey with passion and respect for tradition.

Domaine Glinavos has the privilege of being situated in the Viticultural Area with Protected Designation of Origin, at Zitsa, Ioannina. The vineyard is located at a semi-mountainous microclimate, which extends to approximately 250 acres and is one of the most remote and distant areas in Northwestern Greece.
“The primary objective of Domaine Glinavos has been to produce the highest possible quality wines with respect to tradition and not only”
It is here that the indigenous grape varieties Vlahiko, Bekari and of course the well-known white Debina are cultivated (in existence since 1600 AC).
Debina is a thoroughbred Greek grape variety with exceptional quality, delicate and crisp. It is considered to be unique in nature due to the fruity, classy and elegant aromas.

Domaine Glinavos continues the tradition of Zitsa in producing exceptional quality sparkling and semi-sparkling wines from Debina, plus elegant still white dry wines and Tsipouro. Naturally, other Greek and international varieties are also grown in the vineyards.
Ever since its first steps in this market 38 years ago, the primary objective of Domaine Glinavos has been to produce the highest possible quality wines with respect to tradition, but also with emphasis on aesthetic enhancement. The awards and distinctions in international and local competitions are the evidence that these goals have been achieved. Domaine Glinavos’ wines have been acknowledged for their uniqueness and high quality thus giving the opportunity to export them worldwide.
Domaine Glinavos believe that each wine should tell a story. The story of its variety, its production, its maturation and the story of the rains, the burning sun and the land it grows on. The blessed and famous land of Zitsa Ioannina yield some of the best Greek wines.
